A Haitian-American couple was involved in a motor vehicle collision in Philadelphia. Their vehicle was crushed by a van which was owned and operated by a large multi-national company. The husband and wife suffered serious injuries which required both to be hospitalized. The corporate defendant initially disputed any liability for the accident and refused to consider settlement. The firm aggressively prepared the case for trial. After weeks of mediation and just before trial, the case was settled. Due to a confidentiality agreement, the details of the settlement may not be disclosed. However, the clients will recover compensation in excess of $1,000,000.
